Managing the WTG Service Technician department to deliver Manpower supply and technical projects to our clients. Managing and coaching of department project management personnel & technicians with responsibility for design and implementation of business / project processes and procedures.

Main Duties
|
Responsible for design and safe implementation of SMC policies and procedures at department level covering various offshore wind projects, globally. Taking a lead role in planning, mobilising, execution, and demobilising of WTG Service Technician work scopes. Monitoring team performance in line with company and client KPI’s and requirements. Leading the design and implementation of engineering solutions for wind turbine generator projects. Designing and utilising company software / systems to monitor and track company assets deployed on project. As Department Manager you will be responsible for the office-based project management team and teams of technicians in all aspects of project delivery and execution.
The role requires the Department Manager to assist in the design and implementation of company policies and project safe systems of work acting as the client liaison taking part in project mobilisation, regular progress updates / site visits and demobilisation. Taking a leading role in production of departmental procedures and documentation in line with company document control system. You will be highly motivated, able to manage time and able to clearly delegate tasks and coach team members.
The role is primarily based onshore although regular travel and visits to offshore sites, installations and vessels may be required.

Knowledge
|
- Computer literacy skills – Intermediate Excel, Word Knowledge of Standard Forms of Contracts
- Offshore renewable experience (construction and O&M)
- Able to demonstrate competency with IT skills.
- Technical qualification / experience in – WTG Service, Retrofit & similar sorts of work
- Knowledge of offshore working practices
- Suitable technical expertise / understanding to deliver varied work scopes
- Knowledge of the offshore wind industry such as upcoming key projects
- Basic understanding of Marine operations within the offshore wind industry
- Training solutions and requirements within the offshore wind industry

Qualifications
|
- A full UK drivers' license
- Mechanical Qualification – HNC or similar or Electrical Qualification – HNC or similar
- Formal management training
- NEBOSH or similar
- Wind Turbine Safety Rules
